Visit Gozo and explore its unique character, ancient history, and untouched landscapes on this guided full-day tour that includes the Ġgantija Temples, trackless train ride, salt pans, Citadel, and more.
A visit to Gozo is a must! As soon as you arrive, you’ll notice Gozo’s relaxed charm, greener terrain, and tranquil atmosphere — a striking contrast to mainland Malta.
The tour begins with a visit to the Ġgantija Temples — a UNESCO World Heritage Site and the world’s second-oldest manmade religious structures, built over 5,500 years ago. These Neolithic megalithic temples are even older than the Egyptian pyramids.
From there, you’ll travel to Marsalforn to board a trackless train. This 40-minute ride takes you through Marsalforn Bay, Qbajjar Bay, Xwejni Bay, past the Salt Pans, and under the watch of the Salvatur Statue. This hidden coastal route is vehicle-free, making it a truly unique and peaceful experience.
The next stop is Gozo’s Crafts Centre, where you can sample traditional Maltese food and browse authentic handmade items including lace, stone carvings, and marble works — ideal for a souvenir.
You’ll continue on to Dwejra Bay, one of Gozo’s most dramatic natural areas, before heading to Victoria, Gozo’s capital. There, you’ll explore the ancient Cittadella fortress — a site with roots tracing back to the Bronze Age, enriched by Phoenician, Roman, and medieval heritage.
